Charles Abondo

Charles Abondo has extensive work experience in the telecommunications and technology industry. Charles has held various leadership roles at B-Yond, CN, and TATA Communications Ltd. (now known as VSNL). At B-Yond, they currently serve as the Vice President of Product Engineering, contributing to the development of automation software for operators in the 5G and edge cloud space. At CN, they served as the Director of Customer Solutions and AI Engineering, Director of Data & Analytics, and Senior Manager of Platform & Data Engineering. At TATA Communications Ltd., they held the position of Senior Manager of Product Management & Service Delivery - Mobility, overseeing the implementation of various mobile and IP core services. Additionally, Charles has experience as a Partner & Co-Founder at i-Test, where they were responsible for business strategy, product development, and customer acquisition. Charles has also worked as a Senior SIP Technology Advisor at Blueslice Networks and a Senior Test Engineer at Mindready Solutions. Charles has notable academic experience, including serving as an Adjunct Professor at École Polytechnique de Montréal and the International Institute of Telecommunications, where they taught various courses related to telecommunications and network protocols.

Charles Abondo has an extensive education history with a focus on computer science engineering and business. Charles obtained a Ph.D. in Computer Science Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal in 2005, preceded by an M.Sc.A degree in the same field from the same institution in 2001. Charles also completed a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at Polytechnique Montréal in 2000. Additionally, they hold a Master's degree in Micro-electronics from Université de Limoges, which they earned from 1994 to 1998.

In terms of business education, Charles Abondo completed the Advanced Business Communications program at McGill University in 2012. Charles also obtained a mMBA from McGill University in 2014.
