Sanofar Abdeen, Ph.D.

Director - Critical Reagents (pk/ada/nab - Ligand Binding Assays) At B2s Life Sciences at B2S Life Sciences

Sanofar Abdeen, Ph.D. has a diverse range of work experience in the fields of pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and academia. Currently, Abdeen serves as the Director of Critical Reagents at B2S Life Sciences, where they oversee the development of fully characterized pharmaceutical-grade critical reagents for various assays. Prior to this role, Abdeen held the position of Associate Director at B2S Life Sciences, where they supported the generation and characterization of critical reagents for PK/TK assays, ADA, Nab, and clinical biomarker ligand binding assays for biologics. Abdeen also served as the Team Leader of R&D Critical Reagent Development at the same company.

Abdeen's previous experience includes working as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Indiana University School of Medicine, where they focused on the discovery and development of small molecule inhibitors for antimicrobial and anticancer purposes. They also conducted research on small molecule inhibition of glycogen storage as a therapy for glycogenosis. Additionally, Abdeen gained industry experience through a two-week internship program at Eli Lilly and Company as part of the Lilly Student Industry Xperience (SIX) program.

Earlier in their career, Abdeen worked as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Wayne State University, where they identified and characterized peptide inhibitors targeting Clostridium Difficile Toxin A and Toxin B for the treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhea. They utilized phage-display library screening to identify peptide inhibitors for the active site of the toxins. Abdeen also served as an Assistant Lecturer in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of Colombo.

Overall, Abdeen's work experience showcases their expertise in critical reagent development, small molecule inhibitors, and peptide-based therapeutics.

Sanofar Abdeen, Ph.D., has an extensive education history in the field of Biochemistry.
