Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Back Market

Isabelle Cowan-Bergman began their work experience in 2015 as a Freelance Linux Administrator and Web Developer, where they designed, maintained, and hosted WordPress and Drupal websites for various clients. Isabelle also performed LAMP setup and administration, as well as software development using PHP, MySQL, and Twig. In 2016, they joined Caribou Coffee as a Team Member, responsible for making food and drinks for guests and taking orders and payments. Isabelle later became a Shift Supervisor in Training and then a Shift Supervisor, where they focused on equipment maintenance, ensuring team efficiency, and opening and closing the store.

In 2016, Isabelle also started working at Bodhi Digital as an Intern, gaining experience in backend software project management and development. Isabelle later became a Linux System Administrator and Devops Lead, where they deployed and maintained highly available web stacks and web applications using various technologies such as Linux, Apache, Nginx, and PHP-FPM. Isabelle was also involved in developing software solutions and custom Linux firmware images for embedded devices.

Isabelle joined Doctolib in 2020 as a Site Reliability Engineer, responsible for maintaining and improving the reliability and performance of systems and infrastructure. After two years, they moved on to Back Market in 2022, where they currently hold the position of Senior Infrastructure Engineer.

Isabelle Cowan-Bergman began their education in 2011 at Avalon Charter School, where they pursued their studies without obtaining a specific degree or field of study. In 2016, they attended Linux Academy and completed a Certificate of Completion in Linux Administration. Isabelle also obtained multiple certifications in the same year, including a Linux Server Professional certification from the Linux Professional Institute and a SUSE Certified Linux Administrator certification from SUSE.

In 2016 as well, Isabelle Cowan-Bergman enrolled at Minneapolis College, where they earned an Open Source Developer Certificate in Information Technology between 2016 and 2019.

Furthermore, they obtained additional certifications over the years, including the Linux Essentials certification from the Linux Professional Institute in 2016, a Certificate of Participation as a Blue Team Member in the Minnesota Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition in 2018, and an Open Source Developer certification from Minneapolis Community and Technical College in 2019.
