Venkat Akkapeddi

Venkat Akkapeddi has a diverse work experience spanning over 15 years. Venkat is currently working as an Engineering Director and Site Leader for Backbase in India since June 2022. Before that, they served as the Backbase India Development Centre Head from January 2021 to June 2022. Prior to joining Backbase, Venkat worked at Coforge from 2017 to 2020, where they held various leadership positions, including Program Director and Associate Director. Venkat also worked as a Senior Project Manager at Coforge in 2017. From 2016 to 2017, Venkat worked as a Technical Program Manager at Verizon India. Before that, they served as a Technical Delivery Manager and Technical Project Manager at Virtusa from 2011 to 2016. Venkat also worked at CA Technologies as a Siteminder Lead for a brief period in 2011. Venkat started their career at Infosys Technologies Ltd in 2006, where they worked in multiple roles until 2011.

Venkat Akkapeddi holds a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from JNTUH College of Engineering Hyderabad. Venkat also completed their schooling at St. Joseph's Public School. In addition to their formal education, Venkat has obtained various certifications, including being a Certified PEGA Business Architect and a Certified PEGA System Architect from Pegasystems. Venkat is also certified in Project Management Professional (PMP) from PMI and holds several other certifications related to scheduling, cost control, agile requirements, risk management, IT project management, and Scrum Master certification.
