Lynsey Thornton

Lynsey Thornton is the Founding Partner at Backbone Angels, an angel collective of ten women who met in the early days of Shopify. Lynsey has a wealth of experience in various leadership roles at Shopify, including Managing Director, US West, GM of Core Product & VP of UX, VP of User Experience, Director of UX, Director of UX Research, and UX Research Lead. Prior to Shopify, Lynsey worked at Vision Critical, Paddy Power, Transware, Intrelate, and JM Design. Lynsey holds an MBA in E-Commerce from Queen Margaret University, a BSc Hons in Multimedia Technology from Edinburgh Napier University, and an HND in Multimedia from Ballyfermot College of Further Education.
