Product Designer at Backstage

Karan Singh Khati is a product designer with experience at various companies. Karan started their career in 2018 as a graphic design intern and content writing intern at AsavLiving. In 2019, they worked as a summer trainee at SSDN Technologies, where they learned and applied concepts of machine learning for a project on recognizing handwritten digits. Karan then joined 10kdesigners as a designer in residence in 2021. During this time, they worked on the Capstone Project and designed features to improve creator-fan engagement for CreatorStack. In 2022, they joined Backstage Army as a product designer, where they designed monetization features for creators, such as creator payouts and revised membership and coin pack purchase features to provide customization and expand worldwide. Additionally, Karan conducted interviews as an independent product designer for various companies, including Backstage Army, Bullsurge, Syfe, Skillmatics, BeyondDesign HQ, and Zazzy Designs. Before that, they worked as a graduate engineering trainee at SUZUKI MOTOR GUJARAT PRIVATE LIMITED, where they designed and built an employee data collection portal for Covid-19 vaccination. Throughout the project, they collaborated with HR, Legal, and Information Technology departments.

Karan Singh Khati completed their Bachelor of Technology degree in Information Technology from Harcourt Butler Technical University from 2016 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended FIITJEE for a year in 2015. Before their tertiary education, Karan attended Harrow School from 2013 to 2015 and St. Francis Convent School from 2000 to 2013. Additionally, Karan has obtained several certifications in the field of design, including Interaction Design: Dashboards and Visualization, Critical Thinking, and various UX Design courses from LinkedIn. Karan also completed the Foundations of User Experience (UX) Design course from Coursera in 2021.
