Oscar Alvarado is an experienced professional in the mining industry with a strong background in management and technical operations. Currently serving as Country Manager for BacTech Environmental since December 2021, Oscar also provides corporate advisory services for multiple companies, including SPMP, ARAMINE, and RBL-REI. Prior roles include Director of Technical Operations at Cronimet Corp, overseeing significant production operations in Armenia and South Africa, and Executive Director at Vedanta Resources, where Oscar managed major mining and smelting projects. With previous experience as a Senior Mining Engineer at The World Bank/IFC and Study Manager for the Olympic Dam Expansion at BHP-Billiton/WMC Resources, Oscar brings extensive expertise in mineral economics, backed by a Master of Science degree from Queen's University.
