Mohammed Omar, PMP® and TQM certified professional, is currently serving as the Quality Control Lab Manager at Badael Company since December 2023, contributing to the company's mission of providing reduced-risk alternatives and promoting a smoke-free agenda in Saudi Arabia. Prior to this role, Mohammed held the position of Senior Quality Control Analyst at Pfizer from November 2016 to December 2023, overseeing the stability program and managing HPLC Empower duties, as well as conducting physical and chemical tests as a Quality Control Analyst. Mohammed's career began as a Medical Laboratory Analyst at Saudi German Hospital from February 2006 to February 2008. Academically, Mohammed is pursuing a PhD in Statistical Quality Control & Quality Assurance at Cairo University and holds a Master's degree in Quality Management from Amman Arab University, a Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory from Al Ahliyya Amman University, and a diploma in Medical Laboratory from Batterjee Medical College.

Badael, which means ‘alternatives’ in Arabic, is a newly founded company owned by the Public Investment Fund. Badael's primary objective is to improve the quality of life and help curb smoking rates in Saudi Arabia by developing innovative reduced-risk alternatives for smokers. Badael aims to play a complementary but important role in promoting a smoke-free Saudi Arabia by replacing combustible and other tobacco products, so that smokers and people around them can enjoy the benefits of a healthier lifestyle.
