Nick Rimmer

Nick Rimmer has a diverse work experience background. Nick is currently serving as the Interim Operations Director at Badminton England, where they oversee a team of 24 staff members and implements strategies to increase participation and talent development. Nick has a strong track record in change management, having led three restructures while meeting organizational goals. Nick has also led the successful launch of the primary program, The Racket Pack, and revamped the club development approach.

Prior to their current role, Nick held various positions at Badminton England, including Head of Community Badminton, Head of Regions, and North West Regional Manager. In these roles, they secured significant investment into Badminton England, developed core market segmentation models, and increased participation through the introduction of performance centers and training programs. Nick also led successful legacy programs and contributed to the award of £18 million for the sport.

Before joining Badminton England, Nick worked as a Director at NWR Consulting, where they undertook consultancy projects for local councils and secured funding for a new gymnastics facility. Nick also gained extensive experience as a Managing Consultant and Principal Consultant at Knight, Kavanagh & Page, where they managed staff, projects, and clients such as the FA, DCMS, and Sport England.

Nick Rimmer earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Business Economics and Accounting from the University of Southampton. Nick then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sport and Recreation Management from The University of Sheffield.
