Yahya Kemal Gençer

Yahya Kemal Gençer attended primary school in Bandırma, a secondary school in Istanbul Haydarpaşa High School, and high school in Kabataş High School for Boys, and graduated in 1971. He won the North Atlantic Treaty Association's high school essay competition that year and was invited to Belgium for 3 months as a guest of NATO. At the end of the same year, he moved to Federal Germany and started German courses at the Goethe Institute. In April 1973, he enrolled in the Faculty of Chemistry of the Berlin Technical University. He continued his education until the preliminary diploma (Engineering) exams, then transferred to Clausthal Technical University in Lower Saxony, graduating in 1980. He gave his specialization thesis on the enrichment of Turkish Phosphates by flotation at the "Chemical Methods and Flotation" Chair of the Faculty of Mineral Processing of the same University.

In addition to his duties as Chairman of the Board of Directors, Executive Member and General Manager at Bagfaş Bandırma Gübre Fabrikaları A.Ş., BAGASAN Bagfaş Ambalaj Sanayii A.Ş. and BADETAŞ Bandırma Deniz Taşımacılık A.Ş. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the companies.
