Lulwa Mohammed

Lulwa Mohammed has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Lulwa is currently working at the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) as a Senior Manager in the CEO Office, a position they assumed in January 2022. Prior to this, they were a Manager in the CEO Office at EDB from March 2020 to December 2021.

Before joining EDB, Lulwa worked at the Education & Training Quality Authority (BQA) for a significant part of their career. Lulwa held the position of Chief of Strategic Planning & Project Management from February 2016 to March 2020. Lulwa'srole involved developing statistics systems, aggregating data from multiple sources, and monitoring achievements against target progress. Additionally, they also worked as a Manager in the CEO Office at BQA from September 2008 to March 2020, where they contributed to various responsibilities such as managing daily office expenses, creating database infrastructure, and engaging in the branding process and launch of the organization. Lulwa was also a key member of the Strategy Planning & Management Committee.

Lulwa's earlier experience includes working at the University of Bahrain, where they held different positions. Lulwa served as a Senior Specialist in the Vice President's Office for Academic Programs & Scientific Research from March 2007 to August 2008. In this role, they conducted statistical studies and research, compiled reports, and played an active role in establishing focused strategies. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief of the Coordination & Follow-up Division from January 2003 to February 2007, where they worked closely with the university president, managed a team, and created the infrastructure of the university database. Lulwa also served as a Specialist in the Information & Follow-up Directorate from June 2002 to December 2002, where they were responsible for data collection, editing, and publishing the annual report.

Lulwa started their career at Al Hilal Group, where they worked as a Project Coordinator for the Trade Arabia Web Portal from September 2000 to March 2002.

Lulwa Mohammed obtained their BA in English Language & Translation from the University of Petra (جامعة البترا) from 1996 to 2000. Lulwa then pursued an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Hull from 2007 to 2009. In 2010, Lulwa attended the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, where they completed the Kawader: Preparation for Top Management Program, specializing in Leadership. Lulwa also received several certifications throughout their education and career, including the Kaplan-Norton Balanced Scorecard Certification Boot CampTM from Palladium, Executing Strategy in January 2011, the Kawader – Preparation for Top Management Program from Oxford University – Saïd Business School in November 2010, the Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate from RoshComm in July 2010, Adobe Photoshop Macromedia Freehand Quark Xpress from the Apple Centre in May 2004, and Building High Performance Teams from the Bahrain Institute for Banking & Finance in February 2004.
