Robert Natzler is an experienced finance professional currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at Baillie Gifford since September 2015, where responsibilities include decision-making on the Private Companies team that specializes in providing expansion capital to late-stage private companies. Prior roles at Baillie Gifford include Investment Manager and Investment Analyst. Before this, Robert worked as a Development Economist for The African Solar Cooperative, designing a financing program for a solar-powered electricity grid in Accra's Agbogbloshie slum. Additionally, Robert co-founded and served as Executive Director of CABAL Student Investments, managing investments in student theatre shows. Robert's earlier experience includes a summer internship at Clifford Chance LLP, where recognition was achieved as the overall winner of the firm's Intelligent Aid Competition. Academic credentials include a degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and attendance at Westminster School.
