David O'Connor

David O'Connor is the Senior Vice President, Global Security & Facilities at Bain Capital. Prior to joining Bain Capital, David served as the Vice President, Global Security and Real Estate at Thermo Fisher Scientific where they were responsible for spearheading a diverse team of highly experienced security professionals responsible for 33M square feet of real estate and more than 100K+ colleagues across five continents.

At Bain Capital, David is responsible for overseeing the security of data, personnel, and assets. Additionally, they create and oversees a complex security program protecting employees, assets, and the enterprise reputation encompassing 100K+ employees throughout 700+ global locations. David has also established the framework, planning, business continuity, and culture of security awareness and prevention driving crisis management effectiveness and efficiency.

David O'Connor's educational career includes a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Norwich University, as well as completion of the National Preparedness Leadership Initiative and the Police Executive Resource Forum at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and the Senior Management Institute for Police at the Questrom School of Business, both at Harvard University.
