Lauren J. Resnick is the Chief Practice Partner at BakerHostetler. Lauren was previously the Chief of the Computer Crimes & Intellectual Property Section at the United States Attorney's Office, EDNY from August 1993 to September 2003. While at the United States Attorney's Office, Lauren directed computer crimes prosecutions and was a pioneer prosecutor under Title 18, USC, Section 1030. Lauren was also responsible for notable cases such as US v. Mohamed and the USA Patriot Act conviction of former securities industry employee for computer theft of proprietary software used to execute AMEX stock orders. Prior to their work at the United States Attorney's Office, Lauren was a Visiting Assistant Professor at Chicago-Kent School Of Law from August 1992 to July 1993 where they taught alternative dispute resolution, legal analysis and persuasive writing courses. Lauren began their career as a Litigation Associate at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in October 1991 and later served as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Raymond J. Dearie at the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York from September 1990 to September 1991.
