Cesareo Garasa is an experienced freelance writer and drummer based in Bakersfield, California. Currently a freelance writer for The Bakersfield Californian since September 2013, Cesareo focuses on local interest stories from the perspective of a working musician. In addition, Cesareo has been a full-time drum teacher at Nick Rail Music since February 2004, providing instruction to beginner and intermediate students. As a musician, Cesareo has been performing and recording with various acts, notably as a drummer with Mento Buru, and serves as C.E.O. of Casa Garasa Music, which encompasses different musical ventures in California. Since 1989, Cesareo has also engaged in a variety of bands and freelance projects, contributing to the music community through performance and collaboration. A graduate of Arvin High School, Cesareo earned a diploma in 1991.
