Barbara Blasel

Barbara Blasel has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning several industries. Barbara is currently the Head of Markets at Balance Re, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, Barbara founded their own consulting firm, INPRO Consulting Barbara Blasel, in June 2020, where they served as the Founder until September 2022. From 2012 to 2019, they worked at Reinsurance Group of America as the Director of Business Development, Global Financial Solutions. Before that, Barbara held the role of Senior Structurer/Marketer Insurance Solutions at BNP Paribas from 2004 to 2012. Barbara also has experience as the General Manager at Revios Rückversicherung AG from 1997 to 2004, and as the Assistance General Manager at Gerling Global Re from 1997 to 2003. Barbara began their career at KPMG, where they worked in Audit Insurance Services from 1994 to 1997.

Barbara Blasel's education history includes a degree in Business Economics with a specialization in Life and Health Insurance and Actuarial Science from Cologne University of Applied Sciences, which they obtained from 1990 to 1994. Prior to that, they completed a training program as a Qualified Insurance Clerk at DKV Krankenversicherung from 1988 to 1990. Barbara also achieved their Abitur (A-Level) from Gymnasium Herkenrath in Germany from 1979 to 1988. Additionally, they obtained a certification in "Executive Presence on Video Conference Calls" from LinkedIn in October 2020.
