Joe Roddy

Joe Roddy is an experienced software developer with a strong background in full stack development and sustainability. As a "very important coding person" at Balance Theory since May 2022, Joe contributes to significant projects. Joe operates joeroddy.net as a freelance software developer since April 2018, assisting startups in transforming ideas into functional applications. Previously, Joe co-founded Textable, facilitating SMS communication for businesses from April 2017 to July 2020. Joe's experience also includes a software developer role at J.P. Morgan and an energy auditor assistant position at Ecobeco, where analysis and customer advice were key responsibilities. Joe began a career in sustainability as a composting technician at Kean University, focusing on innovative waste processing solutions. Joe holds a Bachelor of Science in Sustainability Science from Kean University and an Associate’s Degree in Sustainable Energy Technology from Salem Community College.
