Dr. Sc. Fabio Carrillo

Fabio Carrillo is the Head of OR-X Research Unit at Universitätsklinik Balgrist. With a background in Biomedical/Medical Engineering and a Doctor of Science degree from ETH Zürich, Fabio has extensive experience in research operations and translational research in the field of orthopedic computer science. Prior to their current role, Fabio held positions at Research In Orthopedic Computer Science, ETH Zürich, and other companies where Fabio gained experience in software testing, RF optimization engineering, and automation processes. Fabio is known for their work in optimization algorithms for preoperative planning in orthopedic surgeries and has a strong background in robotics, systems control, and rehabilitation engineering.
