Mike Lassner

Mike Lassner is an accomplished biotechnology expert with extensive experience in agricultural science and technology. Currently serving as a Science Advisory Board Member for Ball Horticultural Company, Lassner has held key positions in various organizations, including Chief Science Officer at Amfora, where the focus is on enhancing nutritional content in food and animal feed crops. With a strong background in agricultural biotechnology consulting, Lassner has collaborated with startups and investors to formulate effective science and business strategies. Previous roles include VP of Trait Discovery at Pioneer Hi-Bred International and VP of Research and Development at both Verdia and Maxygen. Lassner earned a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of California, Davis, where studies were completed from 1981 to 1987.
