Fernando Arduini

Fernando Arduini has an extensive work experience in the field of anaesthetics. Fernando currently works at Grampians Health, where they serve as the Clinical Lead Perioperative Medicine and the Anaesthetics Clinical Lead for ERAS implementation. Prior to this, they worked at Geraldton Regional Hospital as a Consultant Anaesthetist. Fernando has also held positions at various hospitals in Perth, including East Metropolitan Health Service and South Metropolitan Health Service, where they served as an Anaesthetics Fellow. Additionally, they have experience as a Physician and Research Assistant at the Sydney Centre for Minimally Invasive Surgery. Fernando started their career as a Consultant Anaesthetist at various hospitals in Brazil, including Sociedade Beneficiente Hospital Maravilha, Hospital São Miguel, Hospital Regional Terezinha Gaio Basso, Hospital Naval Marcílio Dias, and Hospital Estadual Adão Pereira Nunes. Throughout their career, Arduini has provided anaesthesia for a wide range of surgeries and specialties, and has been involved in clinical research projects and teaching programs.

Fernando Arduini has a comprehensive education history in the medical field. Fernando obtained their Doctor of Medicine (MD) with honors from the Universidade Federal Fluminense from 1996 to 2004. Following that, they pursued further specialization in Anaesthesia at the Hospital Naval Marcílio Dias from 2006 to 2009, earning their MD (Hons).

In their pursuit of professional growth and expertise, Fernando later enrolled in the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, where they obtained a degree in Anaesthesia, known as FANZCA. This educational opportunity lasted until 2022.

Additionally, Fernando Arduini has obtained several certifications throughout their career. These include becoming a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in December 2022, as well as obtaining certifications such as ALS 2 Provider from the Australian Resuscitation Council in July 2020, NEXUS Provider (Levels 1, 2, and 3) from the East Metropolitan Health Service in May 2020, Paediatric Life Support from the Advanced Paediatric Life Support (APLS) in April 2019, and finally Effective Management of Anaesthesia Crisis (EMAC) from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists in June 2018.
