Ammar Akhtar

Ammar Akhtar is an experienced professional in the financial technology sector, currently serving in a Core Engineering role at Balyasny Asset Management L.P. since July 2024. Previously, Ammar co-founded Luna Protocol, a platform for smart contracts and programmable ledgers. Ammar's entrepreneurial spirit is also reflected in the founding of Yobota, a cloud-native core banking provider, and in various leadership roles, including Group Founder at Chetwood Financial Limited. With a background in product development at BOLDROCKET and significant consulting experience at Capco and Accenture, Ammar has managed key projects in capital markets, derivatives, and risk management, demonstrating a strong foundation in mathematics from Imperial College London.
