Aakash Naik is a PhD candidate in Computational Materials Science at Friedrich Schiller University Jena, with an expected graduation in September 2024. Aakash has a diverse research background, including experience as a visiting researcher at Université catholique de Louvain in November 2023, and previous roles as a scientific assistant and master thesis student at Fritz-Haber-Institut der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft from November 2020 to September 2021. Prior to that, Aakash completed a research internship at RWTH Aachen University and served as a research assistant with a bachelor's degree at Paderborn University. Aakash also has engineering experience as a product design engineer at Hyflyer Innovations, LLP, and as a design engineer at Larsen & Toubro. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Materials Science from Paderborn University and a Bachelor's Degree in Automobile Engineering from the University of Mumbai.
