Akshay K Nayak

Akshay K Nayak is a PhD student and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Old Dominion University since January 2023, where responsibilities include instructing CS 121G on information literacy and research skills. Previously, Akshay served as a Graduate Research Assistant, designing a frontend admin system for the Taste of India festival, utilizing NextJS and ReactJS. Prior experience includes roles at BetaNXT as a Software Engineer, modernizing legacy systems within the Thomson ONE platform, and at LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) as a Cloud and Infrastructure Engineer, focusing on automation and infrastructure management. Initial software engineering experience began at Refinitiv, where Akshay held positions from Trainee Software Engineer to Associate Software Engineer. Akshay earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology and completed ISC studies at St Vincent Pallotti School.
