Joachim Richert

Joachim Richert is a seasoned professional in the field of chemistry and analytical sciences, currently serving as a Lecturer at Technische Universität Darmstadt since October 2023. Since April 2023, Joachim has held the position of Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board for Chemistry and Process Engineering at Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung, and has been a member of the Industry Advisory Board for NFDI4Chem since April 2021. Additionally, Joachim serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Leibniz-Institut für Analytische Wissenschaften – ISAS – e.V. Joachim's extensive career at BASF spanned over two decades, culminating in roles as Vice President of both Analytical Sciences and the Competence Center Analytics until October 2023. Prior to BASF, Joachim served as CEO and Managing Director at DNA LandMarks Inc. and held various positions at BASF since 1990. Joachim earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry from UC Santa Barbara, where prior to completion, Joachim also lectured.
