Steinar Hansen

Steinar Hansen is an experienced leader in the public sector, currently serving as Kommunedirektør at Bamble kommune since October 2023. Prior roles include Direktør at NAV Øst-Viken from January 2019 to October 2023 and various positions at NAV, including Prosjektleder and Fylkesdirektør for NAV Vestfold between September 2016 and October 2023. Steinar has a strong background in municipal administration, having led one of Norway's largest NAV offices in Drammen kommune from May 2013 to August 2016 and established a new NAV office in Stokke during the period from September 2008 to April 2013. Earlier experience includes positions as Rådgiver at KS Kommunesektorens interesse- og arbeidsgiverorganisasjon, process leadership, and personnel consultancy at Lardal kommune and Oslo kommune. Steinar holds an Executive Master of Management from BI Norwegian Business School and a Cand.Mag from the University of Oslo, alongside additional education from 1987 to 2008.
