Rafael Orozco has a diverse work experience ranging from legal positions to research and customer service roles. Rafael began their legal career at UC Berkeley as a Research Assistant for the Department of Psychology. Rafael then worked at GameStop as a Game Advisor and later became an Assistant Store Manager. Rafael also gained legal experience as a Judicial Extern for the United States District Court, Central District of California and as a Corporate Legal Intern at Warner Bros. Entertainment Group of Companies. Rafael further expanded their legal expertise at Lauson & Tarver LLP, where they served as an Associate Attorney and Law Clerk, handling various intellectual property issues. Rafael also worked as an Attorney at Guzman Law Group, P.C., specializing in prosecuting trademarks at the U.S.P. In 2015, they joined Bandai Namco Entertainment America, where they have held a series of progressively senior legal positions, including Sr. Director, Legal and Director, Legal.
Rafael Orozco earned a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from Southwestern Law School between 2010 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley from 2004 to 2008. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained a certification in Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging from LinkedIn in the year 2023.
