Indranil Roy Chowdhury

Indranil Roy Chowdhury, Ph.D, has a diverse work experience spanning various organizations and roles. Indranil is currently serving as the Head of Strategy/Chief Strategy Officer at Bandhan Bank since August 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Deloitte from 2015 to 2022, first as the Associate Vice President of Strategy and Brand and later as the Specialist Master/Manager of Strategic Risk.

Before Deloitte, Indranil was a Senior Advisor at Ericsson from February 2014 to June 2015, where they specialized in designing and conducting futuristic studies around the Network society. Indranil also served as a Senior Research Associate at Infosys Labs from May 2012 to February 2014.

Indranil pursued their Ph.D at XLRI Jamshedpur, starting in July 2007 and completing it in May 2012. During their doctoral studies, they worked as a PhD Researcher at Microsoft Research Lab, collaborating on a study about mobile-based social networking in India. This research provided insights into the growth of social networks and development of new marketing strategies.

Their work experience also includes a brief trainee role at ICRA in 2008 and a position as a Software Engineer at Infosys Technologies Limited from 2004 to 2007.

Indranil Roy Chowdhury (Ph.D) obtained their doctorate degree in Marketing from XLRI Jamshedpur between 2007 and 2012. Indranil was also a PhD Scholar in Marketing at the University of Cambridge in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their bachelor's degree in Telecommunication Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University between 2000 and 2004. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in "Digital Transformation: Platform Strategies for Success" from MIT in 2020, "Competitive Strategy" from LinkedIn in 2016, and "Foresight Practitioner" from the Institute for the Future in 2015.
