Sameer Khakhar

Sameer Khakhar has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and risk management. Sameer is currently working as the VP of Information Security at Bandhan Bank. Prior to this, they held the role of Vice President of Cyber Security & Infrastructure Risk at IndusInd Bank. Sameer has also served as the Vice President of Risk at RBL Bank and as the Vice President of Information Communication & Technology and ISO at Shinhan Bank. Sameer has previous experience as a Senior Manager of Information Security at Axis Bank and as a Delivery Manager - Infrastructure Security at Paladion Networks. Sameer has also worked as a Service Delivery Manager at Dimension Data India Ltd, Specialist Network Security and Senior Engineer Network Security at SunGard Availability Services, and as a Network Engineer L2 at Hewlett Packard.

Sameer Khakhar obtained a Diploma in Cyber Law from the Asian School of Cyber Laws in 2019. In 1997-1998, they received an S.S.C degree in commerce from Smt. Radhikabai Meghe Vidyalaya. Additionally, Sameer has obtained various certifications in cybersecurity, including Certified in Cybersecurity (CC) from (ISC)² in 2023 and Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2021. Sameer has also acquired certifications from institutions like APIsec University, Continuity & Resilience, LinkedIn, Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), SISA Information Security, Cisco, DNV GL, ITIL Certified, and Symantec, covering various domains of IT and cyber security.
