Erick Guzman

Erick Guzman has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Erick started their career at Scotiabank Costa Rica in 2000 as a Systems Support Officer, where they were involved in implementing the Scotiabank International Banking Platform in various countries. Erick then advanced to the role of Systems, Network and Database Manager, responsible for managing the engineering area and leading infrastructure projects.

In 2015, Guzman joined EVERTEC as the LATAM Information Technology & Operations Manager, overseeing technology management for Latin America. Erick ensured the company's operation with high availability, customer service, and strategic project management.

Guzman then moved to Bantrab in 2018 as the Technology Information Director, where they were responsible for technology processes management and ensuring the proper functioning of the financial group systems.

Currently, Guzman holds the position of IT Director at Banistmo, starting in 2021. In this role, they define, directs, develops, and controls the information technology policies of the bank and its subsidiaries, allowing technology to be a success factor for the organization's development.

Throughout their career, Guzman has demonstrated a strong focus on technology management, ensuring system availability, and delivering value to clients through continuous improvement and transformation initiatives.

Erick Guzman has an education history that spans several institutions and disciplines. Erick first attended Tecnológico de Costa Rica from 1992 to 1996, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Metalurgia. Following this, they enrolled at Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnología from 2000 to 2003 and obtained a Bachelor of Technology degree in Sistemas de Informacion. Erick then continued their studies at the same university and completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) degree in Finance, General from 2010 to 2012. Concurrently, Erick also engaged in further education at INCAE Business School, where they achieved a degree in Gerencia con Liderazgo in an unspecified timeframe. Finally, Erick returned to INCAE Business School once again and advanced their knowledge by undertaking the Gestiόn Avanzada de Equipos de Alto Rendimiento program, which they completed in 2014.
