Alexander Kerner

Alexander Kerner is a skilled software developer with extensive experience in bioinformatics and software engineering. Currently employed at Bank CIC in Switzerland since April 2021, Alexander previously held the position of Senior Software Developer at adesso insurance solutions GmbH from June 2020 to March 2021 and Senior Software Engineer at Lablicate between 2015 and June 2020, contributing to the OpenChrom platform. Alexander has also provided bioinformatics training at the University of Heidelberg and completed a PhD at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center, where research focused on software development for protein quantification and protein localization applications. Alexander began academic pursuits with a graduate role at the Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, followed by earning a diploma in bioinformatics from Technische Hochschule Mittelhessen.
