Joan Gelpi

Joan Gelpi is a highly experienced professional in the field of data and analytics, currently serving as Managing Director and Global Head of Data and AI for Global Transaction Services at Bank of America since February 2020. Prior to this role, Joan was the Head of Data Science at AIG from August 2015 to February 2020 and held various titles at American Express, including Vice President of Data Analytics & Strategic Initiatives and Director of Strategy & Analytics, from December 2010 to August 2015. Joan has a solid background in management consulting, having worked at A.T. Kearney, BearingPoint, and Arthur Andersen throughout the early 2000s. Educational credentials include an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business, a PhD in Operations Research from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from the same institution.
