Yossi Saadon has a strong background in finance and economics. Yossi began their career in 1996 as a Lecturer at Sapir Academic College and Ben Gurion University of the Negev, teaching a variety of subjects including introductory micro and macroeconomics, finance, calculus, statistics, and Israeli economics. In 2007, they worked as a Spokesperson for the Bank of Israel until 2013. During this time, they also served as Israel's representative in the World Bank from 2013 to 2015. From 2014 to 2015, Saadon held positions as Israel's representative in the Inter-American Development Bank and as an Alternate Director in the Inter-American Investment Corporation. In 2015, they joined the Bank of Israel as Head of the Macroprudential Policy Unit in the Research Department. Additionally, from 2015 to 2021, they worked as a Lecturer at Sapir Academic College, where they taught introductory micro and macroeconomics, finance, calculus, statistics, and Israeli economics. In 2021, Saadon became the Head of the Finance Division in the Research Department of the Bank of Israel, and in 2022, they became a Member of the Israel Securities Authority.
Yossi Saadon obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in Economics from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. Yossi pursued their education at the university from 1992 to 2004.
