Thea Alberto-Masakayan

Thea Alberto-Masakayan is a seasoned professional in corporate communications and editorial leadership, currently serving as the Head of Corporate Communications and Assistant Vice President at Bank of the Philippine Islands since December 2024. Prior roles include Deputy Editorial Director at Summit Media from March 2023 to December 2024, where responsibilities included training editorial leaders and shaping content strategy, and Deputy Editor and Editorial Social Media Head at ABS-CBN Corporation from May 2015 to March 2023, focusing on news content creation and editing. Earlier experience includes positions as Digital Content Manager at Yahoo Southeast Asia and Breaking News Reporter at Inquirer Interactive Inc, where pioneering efforts in digital news reporting were made. Thea holds a Master's degree in Asian Studies from the University of the Philippines Diliman and a Bachelor's degree in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines Los Baños.
