Martin Schulte

Martin Schulte is an experienced legal professional currently serving as General Counsel at Bankhaus Scheich Wertpapierspezialist AG since September 2022. Previously, Martin held the position of Head of Legal & Compliance at tradias until September 2024 and worked as European Counsel specializing in Banking, Finance & Securities at JONES DAY® from March 2018 to September 2022. Martin's expertise includes advising on banking, capital markets, and crypto assets, with significant experience in regulatory compliance and risk management. As a Senior Legal Counsel at the European Central Bank from April 2014 to March 2018, Martin contributed to the establishment of the Single Supervisory Mechanism. Additionally, Martin has served as Head of Capital Markets at the Association of Foreign Banks in Germany and has academic involvement as a Guest Lecturer at EBS Universität für Wirtschaft und Recht. Martin holds multiple law degrees, including a doctorate from Goethe University Frankfurt and an LL.M. from Queen Mary University of London.
