Michael Wilcox

Michael Wilcox serves as the Executive Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer at BankUnited, where responsibilities include developing and executing a compliance risk management program in alignment with legal regulations. Previously, Michael held the position of Executive Vice President US Compliance Director at Santander Holdings, where a corporate compliance program was developed for US operations. Prior experience includes serving as Vice President Compliance Director at Banco Santander and Vice President Head of Compliance at Lloyds Banking Group, focusing on compliance oversight and international wealth management. Michael began a career in regulatory compliance at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta as an International Bank Examiner and the FDIC as a Supervision and Resolution Technician. Michael holds an M.B.A. in International Business from the University of Miami and a B.A. in English Language and Literature from Hamilton College.
