Jo Desmone

Jo Desmone is a Program Coordinator at Banyan Global, focusing on gender integration and technical assistance for USAID’s Office of Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment. Previously, Desmone served as an Independent Consultant for Open Data Watch, conducting gender data research and supporting statistical data transparency. Experience also includes consulting for Freedom House on gender equality issues in Ukraine, managing events for glifaa at the U.S. Department of State, and various roles in legislative and editorial support within governmental and academic settings. Desmone holds a Master's degree in German and European Studies from Georgetown University and a Bachelor's degree in International Studies from American University. Additional educational experiences include studies in Berlin and Belgium.
