Description of the Role: As we continue to expand our global footprint, we are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Manager, Payroll to join our dynamic team. Reporting into our Chief People Officer, this role offers a unique opportunity to work in a global  fast-paced environment, collaborating with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing global payroll operations and overseeing HRIS implementations. They should have extensive knowledge of international payroll processes, compliance requirements, and HRIS systems. They will be responsible for leading a team of payroll specialists, ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll across multiple countries, and driving the successful implementation of HRIS systems to streamline payroll and HR operations.

Reporting to: Chief People Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the end-to-end payroll process for multiple countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
  • Develop and maintain payroll policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with local regulations and company policies.
  • Manage payroll vendors and relationships, including negotiating contracts and service level agreements.
  • Monitor payroll-related tax, legal, and regulatory changes in international markets and ensure payroll compliance.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the payroll team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear goals and objectives, conduct performance evaluations, and provide ongoing feedback and development opportunities for team members.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and resource for payroll-related inquiries, escalations, and complex issues.
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and optimization of HRIS systems to support global payroll and HR functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and finance, to define requirements, configure systems, and ensure successful integration with payroll processes.
  • Develop training materials and provide training and support to end-users on HRIS systems and processes.
  • Drive process improvements and system enhancements to optimize payroll and HR operations and enhance user experience.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate for the role will possess the following characteristics: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in international payroll management, with expertise in multi-country payroll processing and compliance.
  • Proven experience leading HRIS implementations, including system selection, configuration, and rollout.
  • In-depth knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, UKG or Oracle HCM Cloud.
  • Strong understanding of payroll tax, legal, and regulatory requirements across multiple countries.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
