Job Profile:

Banyan is looking to hire a foundational Manager for Lead Generation Manager of the Tech & Data team at our Chennai office. As the offshore leader of the team, the successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to build and scale a team dedicated to finding and acquiring great software businesses. The primary mandate will be to leverage technology, data and people to identify, review and qualify promising software companies that align with our strategic goals, working in close coordination with the onshore team in Canada/US. This leader will be an analytical change agent that stays on top of industry trends and continuously looks for better ways to tackle complex problems and optimize team performance. Leveraging your strong and motivational leadership skills, positive attitude and technical proficiency, you will play a critical role and be ultimately responsible for building Banyan’s account identification and qualification functions from the ground-up and evolving them as we continue to grow. 

Please note that the timings for work for the role shall be between 2 pm and 10 pm IST, to allow for the overlap needed with the teams based in North America.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for establishing and operating an offshore team focused on software business identification and research
  • Define and implement end-to-end account and contact lead generation processes while working with large data sets, ensuring consistent and efficient identification, review and qualification of software business prospects
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics and emerging technologies that could impact software business sourcing strategies and efficiencies
  • Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of sourcing methodologies, tools and best practices
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the offshore team, setting clear goals, KPIs and expectations
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide coaching and feedback, and promote a culture of continuous improvement
  • Collaborate closely with onshore team members to evaluate and assess accuracy of identified prospects; monitor and report on sourcing metrics and outcomes to onshore leadership
  • Ensure end-to-end data governance and quality best practices are followed at all levels

Qualifications for success:

  • 9+ years of related work experience in a relevant technology field; lead generation, M&A sourcing, SalesOps and/or RevOps
  • Experience with scaled lead generation processes, data and tooling
  • Hands-on Salesforce CRM expertise and report building is strongly preferred; 
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building, motivating and leading high-performing teams;
  • Strategic mindset that enjoys solving complex problems and finds opportunities to deliver more value;
  • Growth-oriented and capable of assuming greater responsibility as the company grows; 
  • Willingness to be either hands-on or high-level based on what is required of the situation; 
  • Ability and openness to continuous learning and adapting strategies as the software industry evolves;
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to independently manage multiple priorities; 
  • Excellent proficiency in verbal and written English with strong communication skills;
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with team members at all levels
  • A related post-secondary degree is required;
