Alex Petersen

Alex Petersen, CPA, currently serves as an M&A Associate at Banyan Software, having progressed through roles including M&A Analyst and Senior Analyst since April 2021. Concurrently, Alex has been a Child Life Volunteer at The Hospital for Sick Children since September 2019. Previous experience includes a tenure at KPMG from October 2018 to March 2021, where Alex held positions as Senior Accountant and Staff Accountant at various levels, working with clients in the gold mining and energy sectors. Alex's foundational experience includes positions at Smith School of Business at Queen's University as a Teaching Assistant and Accounting Tutor, and contributions to multiple organizations within Queen's Commerce, including the Queen's Commerce Society and Leadership Summit. Alex holds a Graduate Diploma in Accounting and a Bachelor of Commerce, both from Queen's University, and has studied at BI Norwegian Business School.
