Emily Aponte

Emily Aponte is the current Vice President of Human Resources at Barclays Center. Prior to their current role, Emily was the Senior Director of Human Resources at Hearst Magazines from November 2019 to November 2021. In their role at Hearst Magazines, Emily was responsible for handling all employee relations issues and managing the implementation and rollout of HR programs and initiatives. Emily also partnered with the compensation team on the launch of a new year-end bonus program and assisted with the yearly open-enrollment employee meetings to communicate changes to benefits programs. In addition, Emily was nominated to participate on the development of a new enterprise wide Career Pathing tool.

Emily Aponte has a Bachelor's degree in Counseling from Springfield College and a M.Ed. in Counseling from the same school. Emily also has a Bachelor's degree from Fordham University and a B.A. in Psychology from the same school.
