Gerbrand Muller

Gerbrand Muller currently serves as the Head of Finance for Sustainability and ESG at Barclays, a position held since October 2008. In this role, Gerbrand is instrumental in advancing Barclays' sustainability and ESG initiatives, particularly in building global reporting capabilities to track progress towards the company's net-zero commitment by 2050. Prior to Barclays, Gerbrand worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from March 1999 to October 2008 as Director of Product Control, overseeing senior roles in Emerging Markets, Credit, Rates, and FX options. Gerbrand began the professional career as an Audit Manager at EY from January 1996 to March 1999 after achieving an Accountancy Degree at the University of Pretoria from 1992 to 1995.
