Saurav Mitra

Saurav Mitra, FCA, MPhil (Cantab), is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in audit and trading. Currently serving as the Head of Audit and Director for Private Bank and Wealth Management at Barclays since February 2014, Saurav leads the Macro Markets team and oversees critical areas such as Currency, Commodities, Rates, and Algorithm/Electronic Trading. Prior to Barclays, Saurav held key roles at BG Group as a Principal Auditor and at bp Integrated Supply and Trading as Performance and Planning Manager, where responsibilities included financial reporting and business partnering for Gas Trading in Asia and Continental Europe. Saurav began a career in audit with Deloitte and Ernst & Young, and holds notable academic qualifications including an MPhil in Economics from the University of Cambridge and a Fellowship from the ICAEW. Furthering professional development, Saurav completed an online program at Harvard Business School in 2020.
