Head Meeting Experience Strategic Partnerships And New Initiatives at Barco

Johan Pirot has a strong background in the technology industry, with a focus on networking and video solutions. Johan started their career at Alcatel in 1999, where they held various positions in business management, product strategy, and engineering, specifically in data networking and online services. In 2003, they became the President of TeraBurst Networks and successfully transformed the company into a leading video over IP product company before integrating it with OnAir to form IP Video Systems. Johan then served as the President and CEO of IP Video Systems from 2005 to 2012. In 2012, Johan joined Barco, where they initially served as the Vice President and General Manager of the Video Networking Group. Johan then took on the role of Vice President of Product Management, where they defined and implemented strategies for networking and new meeting solutions. Currently, Johan is the Head of Meeting Experience Strategic Partnerships and New Initiatives at Barco.

Johan Pirot holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the University Leuven. Johan also possesses a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from Handelshogeschool Antwerpen. In addition to their formal education, Johan has obtained certifications in areas such as PowerPoint: Silicon Valley Presentation Secrets, Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner, PMC Level V, and Pragmatic Certified Product Master.
