Kara Mathisen Pe

Kara Mathisen is currently working as an Associate HVAC Engineer at BR+A Consulting Engineers since August 2018. Prior to this, Kara worked as an Assistant Mechanical Engineer at Burns & McDonnell from May 2016 to August 2018. Kara also has experience as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Burns & McDonnell and as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at NC State University. Kara holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from NC State University. Kara's work focuses on designing, engineering, and analyzing advanced power systems, with projects in combined heat and power, central utility, and power generation plants. At NC State University, Kara was part of a research team working on organic electronic devices for low-cost renewable energy and biocompatible electronics.
