Trish Bare Grounds

Trish Bare Grounds, ABD, LAT, ATC has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of sports medicine. Trish has worked as an Athletic Trainer for Feld Entertainment, where they developed emergency action protocols for various troupes, acts, and performances. Trish is also the owner and Senior Medical Coordinator of Bare Essentials Sports Medicine, where they coordinate and manages event medical teams for various sports events and organizations. Trish has also worked as an Athlete Performance Manager, assisting professional and Olympic athletes in all aspects of their careers. Trish is a Professional Keynote Speaker, conducting training sessions and speaking at various events and universities. Trish has also held various roles in medical coordination and event medical coverage for organizations such as USA Taekwondo, AAU Taekwondo, Fise World Series, Vans Pro Cup BMX Series, Daniel Dhers Action Sports Complex, Monster Recon Tour, National Collegiate Taekwondo Association, and Alli Sports, a division of the NBC Sports Group. Throughout their career, Trish has provided sports medicine services, including injury care, prevention, and emergency response, to athletes in action sports, BMX, and skateboarding.

Trish Bare Grounds, ABD, LAT, ATC has an extensive education history. Trish obtained their BA in Pre-Med/Biology & Psychology from DePauw University in 1987. Trish then pursued an MS Ed from the University of Miami in 1989, specializing in Sports Medicine. Trish further advanced their studies and completed their PhD in Sports Medicine/Athletic Training at the University of Florida between 1999 and 2007. Trish also holds an MS Ed in Secondary Science Education, which they obtained from the University of Florida from 1997 to 1999.

In addition to their academic degrees, Trish has pursued various certifications to enhance their professional expertise. These certifications include but are not limited to becoming a Certified Athletic Trainer through the Board of Certification for the Athletic Trainer in 1987, obtaining multiple state-level athletic training licenses in Florida, Pennsylvania, Nevada, Colorado, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and Oklahoma, as well as acquiring additional specializations in areas such as concussion management, kinesiology taping, functional movement, and plant-based nutrition.

Trish's education and certifications demonstrate their dedication to expanding their knowledge and skills in the fields of sports medicine, athletic training, and science education.
