As the world's largest privately owned pasture seed company, Barenbrug has played an integral role in New Zealand's pastoral landscape for over 30 years.  As a specialist agri-pasture plant breeding and research company Barenbrug is dedicated to New Zealand's agricultural future.

We also supply brassica seed, and seed coating, to further serve New Zealand pastoral farming.

Founded in 1987 and based on a 224ha research station near Darfield, we are proud to employ 65 dedicated professionals including specialist plant breeders, agronomists, laboratory, microbiology, and seed production team members.

We also work with expert research partners including DairyNZ, Lincoln University, AgResearch, Pastoral Genomics and Massey University, to ensure Barenbrug products perform now and in farm systems of the future.
