Katy Zimmerman

Katy Zimmerman has a diverse work experience in various communication and marketing roles. Katy is currently working as the Director of Communications Planning at Barkley, starting in December 2021. Prior to that, they were an Associate Director of Connections Strategy at VMLY&R from June 2021 to November 2021. Katy also has previous experience at Barkley, where they were a Communications Planning Supervisor from July 2018 to June 2021, and a Content Manager from January 2018 to July 2018.

Before joining Barkley, Katy worked as a Digital Media Specialist at Houlihan's Restaurants, Inc. from November 2016 to January 2018. In this role, they managed social media efforts for multiple restaurant locations and sister concepts, overseeing social strategy, paid social, community management, and content creation.

Prior to that, Katy worked as a Social Community Manager at Barkley from January 2016 to November 2016. In this position, they managed daily community management tasks for clients' social media accounts and conducted analysis and reporting on community insights and content performance.

Katy's earlier experiences include working as a Public Relations & Social Media Coordinator at Bread & Butter Concepts from July 2014 to December 2015, where they developed and grew the brands of multiple restaurant concepts. Katy also held marketing and social media internships at The Columbian Theatre, Bailey Lauerman, and K-state.HDTV.
