Pere Gascón

Pere Gascón has extensive experience in oncology and molecular biology, currently serving as co-Director of the Molecular and Translational Oncology Laboratory at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Faculty of Biology, Universitat de Barcelona since 2019. Gascón is also co-Director of the Cellex Chair in Oncology and Multidisciplinary Knowledge at Universitat de Barcelona and has held senior consultative roles in medical oncology at barnaclínic+ and previously at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona. As a founding member and current Vice President of International Affairs at Fundación ECO, Gascón has contributed significantly to oncology excellence. Gascón's academic background includes leadership positions in hematology and oncology at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and clinical training at prestigious institutions such as Washington University in St. Louis and the National Institutes of Health. Gascón holds a Doctorate in Medicine from Universitat de Barcelona and has a rich history of involvement in both clinical practice and research.
