Brent C. has a diverse range of work experience in the engineering and construction industry. Brent began their career as an Engineering Student at Aker Arctic Canada Inc. in 2010. In 2012, they worked as a Transportation Engineer for the City of St. John's, where they conducted a Road Safety Audit and identified problematic areas at a dangerous intersection.
Brent then transitioned to Teck Resources Limited, where they worked as a Field Engineer in 2012, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and even rescuing an elk from a pond on site property. In 2013, they joined Dexter Construction as a Project Engineer, overseeing the construction of an iron ore beneficiation plant and coordinating the start-up of a new mining pit.
Returning to Teck Resources Limited in 2014, Brent worked as a Junior Project Coordinator, coordinating the successful completion of two construction projects and handling various responsibilities, including communication with clients.
In 2016, Brent joined Aecon Group Inc. as a Project Coordinator, where they successfully completed over $10M in projects and won bids ranging from $40K to $2.5M. Brent used HardDollar to create cost estimates for these projects. Brent continued their work with Aecon Group Inc. in 2017 as an Earthworks Field Engineer, constructing dykes and impervious core based dams.
Most recently, in 2020, Brent joined Barnard Construction as a Project Engineer (EIT). The details of this role are not specified, but it is their current position.
