Gavin Tasker has over 25 years of experience in the construction industry. Gavin started their career as a Laborer/Operator at MARTIN BUCHANAN & SONS, where they operated heavy equipment, conducted surveying, and performed various other tasks. From 1998 to 1999, Gavin worked as a Project Engineer/Intern at the Oregon Department of Transportation, where they led a team responsible for inspecting roads and highways.

In 2000, Gavin joined Kerr Contractors, Inc as a Project Engineer & Crew Member, gaining experience in grading, road layout, and equipment operation. In 2001, they transitioned to Barnard Construction where they held multiple roles. Gavin started as a Project Manager, overseeing safety, quality control, contract negotiations, and other aspects of heavy civil projects. Gavin later became a Business Development Manager, focusing on seeking out new business opportunities, crafting RFQ and RFP responses, and developing relationships with potential customers and partners.

Throughout their career, Gavin has worked on a wide range of projects including underground utility work, bridges, dams, hydroelectric plants, and tunnels. Gavin has experience in various areas of heavy civil construction, such as marine, earthwork, pipelines, and overhead transmission.

Gavin Tasker completed their high school education from Bellingham High School between the years 1992 and 1995. Following that, they pursued higher education at Oregon State University from 1995 to 2001. During this time, they obtained a degree in Engineering with a field of study in CEM (Construction Engineering Management). Gavin also has additional certifications in Excavation Safety & Competent Person Training from The National Utility Contractors Association and an OSHA 30 Hour certification from the USF OHSA Training Institute Education Center.
